*Day 1: The Fire island
*Day 2: The Pirate city
*Day 3: The Pirate bar
*Day 4: The Sea
*Day 5: The Turtle island
Every activity was developed according to the place that we were each day:
*Day 1: The Fire island:
We just arrived to the pirate islands so the first thing to do was introducing ourself and know a little bit more about all our crew. For this we played a few introduction games and we chose our pirates names!
The second thing we should do was transform us in pirates! So we created our own hats, eye-patches and hooks, all handmade!!!
The kids had their costumes but the captains were not convinced about the new crew. So we developed a few tests to prove how much pirate our kids were! We checked their aim skills for the cannons, and also their courage jumping in a chalk river. We checked their power to raise the anchor and also their speed and flexibility:
But we needed one thing more, we needed to save all the treasures we found! So we made a treasure bag!
But the main activity this day was to meet famous pirates!
We presented to the kids 6 famous (real and fiction) pirates and we asked
some things about them:
- Capitan Hook
- Long John Silver
- Blackbeard
- Anne Bonnie
- Mary Read
- Calico Jack
To know the answers the kids should find balloons all over the playground, exploded them and found the pieces of a puzzle with the answers.
*Day 3: The Pirate bar
We started the day, like everyday, playing outside:
We had already a hat, an eye-patch and a hook, but all pirates have also a bandana! So we created a color one!
With our new costume we went to the Pirate's bar, and there was a big surprise! A pirate wedding! In fact, 3 pirate weddings!
All the guests helped to dress up the wifes and husbands for the wedding, and we celebrated the ceremony!
All the guests helped to dress up the wifes and husbands for the wedding, and we celebrated the ceremony!
After the ceremony we played a funny game to achieve a package of cookies!
To finish the day we learned a pirate song with a pirate dance!!!
