EVS Project: Make them succeed!
Hosting Organisation: Direcţia Generalã de Asistenţã Socialã şi Protecţia Copilului
Sending Organisation: European Intercultural Forum
Stage: 01/04/12 – 21/07/12

I am Anni from Germany and I am 23 years old. I participated in the European Voluntary project “Make them succeed” in Slobozia. I am an education science student at Oldenburg University. I love colors, music, arts, theatre, chocolate, friends, dancing and smiling. After I finished my Bachelor last year, I took a gap year to gain some international working experience. I went for 5 month to Turkey and afterwards to Romania to work as a Volunteer in a children recovery centre. I applied for the project because I like the work with people with disabilities and I thought Romania would be a very interesting country, which I did not know much about.
Although not everything was easy for me, I am glad that I took the opportunity to be part of this international project. I met a lot of nice and warm people, gained working experiences, learned a new language and found out some things about myself. I appreciated the kindness of our hosting organization and I loved to work and handcraft with the children in the centre.
In addition to that I found a lot of international friends and saw beautiful places in Romania.
I loved to be a Volunteer and I would always want to be an EVS Volunteer again and again!:)
