Dadaist poetry

To make a Dadaist poem pick up a text (from a book, a newspaper, a writing...), take a pair of scissors, choose a part of the text with the length you want to give to your poem and cut it out.
Carefully, cut out each word and pop them in a bag, shake it gently. Take a word after another and copy the poem in the order in which they appeared.
The poem will resemble you.

One of our last activities was a dadaist poem. I gave the kids a white sheet of paper and I asked them to write about this year with us. They were very concentrated and they wrote a lot! Then we cut word by word and we saved them in a box. At the beginning they were so reticent to cut the paper "we will lose everything that we wrote". They trusted me and we mixed everyone's words in the box.

Then we took, randomly, a few words to create our poem. Our poems needed a good and a creative backdrop so we chose our Pollock paintings. You can read about our Pollock activity here.
The unexpected results are very funny, beautiful and very colorful!

Our dadaist poems:

Wonderful,
beautiful.
We played. Smiley.
Me, Dada
with the kids.
Performance, fantasies,
surprises, love.
Extraordinary.

I was a dadaist elephant.
Funny, playful mind.
Beautiful.
Joy.
I'm a flower with the volunteers.

Beautiful, Dada,

it was beautiful.
A lot of happiness.
Daniel, beautiful.
Zebra.
Surprise.
Activities with love.
Happiness.
Beautiful year.

I liked the sweets.
Amazing volunteers.
Trips, colors, juice,
theater, giraffe, circus,
gymkhana, park, cakes,
happiness.
I was mad.

The last one is my favorite ^^.
