Budapest: 1.700.000 inhabitants, 1924 years of culture, 527 metres high mountain, 525 qm² to discover, 18 degrees, 8th greatest city of Europe and 4 slobozian volunteers!
After an austrian (but in the end romanian) guy drove us to the capital city of Hungary, Spoon made her job: We choosed a hostel and the female receptionist recognised our dog after we payed. She told us that dogs aren't allowed, and in this moment Spoon went to her feet, made damn cute things and the receptionist felt in love with her - she couldn't resist. After a call to her boss (a big fan of Big Lebowski, by the way), we spent one night in the "Jeffrey Lebowksi"-room before we moved to our own apartment which belongs to the hostel... we guess.
We did a lot of sightseeing. And Budapest is a good city for this. See yourself:
On the wall I met an artist (you know, this wise looking, bearded kind of artists) who was showing his artwork to the publicity and I had the honor to watch him drawing:
When we were tired of sightseeing we hung out in bars or took a bath in the bathhouse of the big, big park. One bar was full of things, mostly papers of all kinds, and everything is hanging on the wall and ceiling. Of course we enlarged their hodgepodge. In another bar there was hungarian folk music, presented of four talented musicians:
On the last day Dada and me went to the Fine Arts Museum, also in the big park. On the way we lost Yoana in a big mess with the tram, but this is another story. Inside you can see a lot of pictures and different exhibitions of different times:
The days we spent in Budapest were marvelous... I still have a few hundred Forints, maybe I can buy a bottle of water with them when I come back. ;-)
Some impressions:
